The following steps will lead you on your path to joining us at SPBS.

APPLY

You may submit your application online here. Please review the application checklist below to ensure you have all required documentation ready for upload. Once your application and the $75 application fee are submitted, your application will immediately enter the review process, with placement offered as space allows.

MEET & ASSESS

Once your application is complete, we will schedule your child's assessment and your parent meeting with the Principal.  If you are seeking financial aid, this process will be discussed with you at the parent meeting.

ACCEPTANCE/ENROLLMENT

Families are notified of acceptance following the parent and Principal meeting. Registration and fees are due within two weeks to secure enrollment. 

APPLICATION CHECKLIST

We’re glad you’re considering SPBS for your family. To make the process clear and easy to follow, please be ready to complete the itembs below for the application to be marked complete.

All grade level applicants will be asked to complete and submit the following:

  • Paid Application Fee of $75

  • Parent / Guardian Questionnaire

  • Signed Release of School Records Authorization Form

  • Birth Certificate

  • Sacramental Certificates (if applicable) 


Kindergarten applicants will be asked to complete and submit the following: 

  • Teacher's email for us to send the Preschool Teacher Evaluation

  • Director's email for us to send the Director Recommendation Form

  • Kindergarten Parent Questionnaire


Grades First through Eighth applicants will be asked to complete and submit the following:

  • Teacher's email for us to send the Academic / Character Reference 

  • Principal's email for us to send the Principal Recommendation Form

  • Recent Report Cards (please submit previous year and current year)

  • Copies of Standardized Test Scores - if applicable (please submit previous year and current year)

In-Parish Tuition Rates:

Grades Kindergarten through Eighth:
1 Child - $8,275.00
2 Children - $15,722.50 ($7,447.50=10% discount on second child)
3 Children - $22,342.50 ($6,620.00=20% discount on third child)
4 Children - $28,135.00 ($5,792.50=30% discount on fourth child)

*Non-parishioner rates are $750 higher per student.

 

SPBS offers a $750 tuition per student discount for active, supporting members of Saint Paschal Baylon Parish (SPB).

To qualify:

✔  Donate at least $350/year through SPB envelopes or Faith Direct.

✔  Actively participate in parish life.

✔  Student must have received the sacraments according to their age:

Applicants for Grades K-2: Baptism

Applicants for Grades 3-8: Baptism, Reconciliation, Communion

*Non-parishioners are charged full tuition and fees.

 

SPBS provides support to make Catholic education within reach. Need-based financial aid is available for qualifying families.
 

  1. Pay in full by August 20, 2026.

  2. Semi-Annual payments - Half in August; Half in January ($55 semi-annual fee applies).

  3. FACTS Tuition Management - Bank Account: Ten monthly automatic withdrawals starting in August ($55 annual fee applies).

  4. FACTS Tuition Management - Credit Card: Ten monthly withdrawals starting in August (2.85% courtesy fee + $55 annual fee). American Express, Visa, Discover, or MasterCard only.

Additional Fees:

Registration Fee: $350 per child
General Fee: $285 per child
General Fee covers the costs of educational materials, technology subscriptions/supplies, field trips, Enrichment, and the family Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) membership.


 

Graduation Fee: $350 (8th grade only)

Sacramental Fee: $70 (Students receiving First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion)

6th Grade Yosemite Outdoor School Trip: $TBD
(Contract price is determined in late fall, and is subsidized by the school; 25-26 Cost was $565 per child)

7th Grade Catalina Trip: TBD
(Contract price is determined in late fall, and is subsidized by the school; 25-26 Cost was $415 per child)

8th Grade Washington D.C. Trip: TBD
*Washington, D.C. trip is not a school sponsored trip, conducted outside the normal school schedule, and is optional for each family.

 


Billing begins at dismissal time and is calculated in half-hour increments with a one-hour minimum charge. Click here for more information about our Extended Care program.

Volunteer Hours:

40 hours/year per family (10 hours may be parish-related).
Unfulfilled hours billed at $30/hour at the end of the school year.


 

Minimum of $350 per family through fundraisers such as Fall Fest Raffle, Jog-a-thon, School Gala/Auction Event, Teacher Wish List contributions and Raise Right. Profit Dollars offset operating costs and are tax-deductible.

CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

Embark on an educational journey where the whole child is nurtured, confidence is built, dreams are inspired, and lifelong memories are made. At SPBS, your child will feel right at home while being prepared to excel in all areas of life.

Admission priority is extended to the following (in order):

  • Siblings of current SPBS students

  • Catholic families who are parishioners of Saint Paschal Baylon Church

  • Catholic families from neighboring parishes

  • Non-Catholic families

 

What are Age Requirements?

Kindergarten Applicants: Must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026.

First Grade Applicants: Must be 6 years old on or before September 1, 2026.

Note: No exceptions are made to these age requirements.


What is the student–teacher ratio?
An average of 1 teacher for every 9 students.

Do you accept non-Catholics? Yes. Saint Paschal Baylon School welcomes students of all faith traditions whose families value a Catholic education. All students take part in religious instruction, prayer, and school liturgies as integral components of our school community and mission.

When should I apply for Kindergarten?
Between December and February. Applications are due February 27, 2026 for priority placement.

 

Are siblings given priority?
Yes, as well as parishioners of St. Paschal Baylon Church.

 

Do you accept mid-year transfers? Yes, as space permits.

 

Is after-school care available? Yes, for all grades until 6 PM.

 

What are your hours? School hours are from 8 am - 2:45 pm (with early dismissal on Thursdays at 1:45pm to allow for our faculty meeting). Students may be dropped off as early as 7:30am.
