SUMMER ACADEMIC PROGRAM

Build Skills. Grow Confidence. Start Strong.

Our Summer Academic Program provides strong academics in a more relaxed, short-term environment led by experienced SPBS teachers. Students maintain and strengthen academic momentum while building the confidence and skills that support long-term success. We welcome students from Catholic, public, private, and homeschool programs.

Where Summer Joy Meets Academic Readiness

ARTS

Becoming Young Artists (Incoming 1st–3rd | Ms. Cheyenne Taylor)

Explore paint, pencil, and pastels while learning artistic techniques and expressing creativity.

 

Artists’ Showcase (Incoming 4th–6th | Ms. Cheyenne Taylor)

Study historical artists and experiment with their styles using paint, pastels, and pencil while developing your own artistic voice.


ELEMENTARY PREP & EARLY LEARNERS
 

Kindergarten Readiness (Incoming K | Mrs. April Cole)

Build academic and social confidence through phonics, letter/sound recognition, rhyming, printing, vocabulary, math skills (counting, numbers, patterns, shapes), hands-on activities, and classroom routines.
 

Reading & Math Intervention (Incoming 1st | Mrs. April Cole)

Strengthen phonics, reading, writing, addition/subtraction, word problems, and fine motor skills through games, manipulatives, interactive play, and iPad programs.

 

Math & ELA (Incoming 2nd | Mrs. Kelly Sjolund)

Review key 1st-grade skills while introducing 2nd-grade concepts through engaging, hands-on learning.

 

Math & ELA (Incoming 3rd | Mrs. Kelly Sjolund)

Reinforce 2nd-grade foundations and preview important 3rd-grade concepts with interactive lessons and practice.

 

Readers & Writers Workshop (Incoming 4th | Mrs. Debby Tapia)

Project-based learning focused on comprehension, inquiry, figurative language, grammar, and writing. Includes current events with Scholastic News.

 

Math Mastery (Incoming 4th | Mrs. Debby Tapia)

Master the four operations, place value, fractions, and decimals with interactive activities and math escape rooms.

 

English Language Arts (Incoming 5th | Mrs. Ruth Krank)

Strengthen reading comprehension, writing, and figurative language skills through fun, interactive activities.

 

Math Adventures (Incoming 5th | Mrs. Ruth Krank)

Build confidence in core math skills while exploring fractions, decimals, and problem-solving challenges.


JUNIOR HIGH HEADSTART
 

Math 6/7 (Incoming 6th–7th | Mrs. Tara White)

Review decimals, fractions, percents, GCF/LCM, prime factoring, and introduction to variables and equations.

 

Math 7/8 with Pre-Algebra (Incoming 7th–8th | Mrs. Tara White)

Explore variables, linear equations, slope, graphing, word problems, and integer operations.

 

Literature & Language Arts (Incoming 6th–8th | Mrs. Christina Baum)

Improve reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and written responses through varied texts.

 

Strengthening Writing Skills (Incoming 6th–8th | Mrs. Christina Baum)

Develop thesis writing, evidence selection, commentary, and critical thinking to prepare for fall.


PHYSICAL EDUCATION
 

Fun and Fitness (Incoming K–4th | Mrs. Patty Beck)

High-energy games like Human Hungry Hippos, scooter games, Gaga ball, dodgeball, and more to build motor skills and physical fitness.

SUBMIT YOUR DEPOSIT
 

A $100 deposit per course is required to hold your child’s space. Enrollment is first-come, first-served and classes are limited.
 

*Families may also choose to pay in full at the time of registration.
 

LOCK IN YOUR TUITION RATE
 

Submit your $100 deposit by May 8, 2026 to secure EARLY BIRD pricing:

• $250 (1 course)

• $450 (2 courses, same child)

Deposits received on or after May 9, 2026 will receive REGULAR TUITION pricing:

• $275 (1 course)

• $500 (2 courses, same child)

PAY REMAINING BALANCE
 

The remaining balance must be paid in full by June 22, 2026.
