Welcome to Kindergarten at Saint Paschal Baylon School (SPBS)
At SPBS, Kindergarten is an exciting first step in your child’s academic journey, offering a seamless transition from preschool to a faith-centered elementary education. Here, your child will thrive in a nurturing, structured environment designed to foster growth, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
FAITH AND FRIENDSHIP
Daily Religion Classes: Students learn about the Bible, deepen their relationship with Jesus, and discover God’s gifts and promises.
Weekly Mass: Kindergarteners attend Friday Mass with the entire school and lead one Mass during the year.
"Buddy Program": Each Kindergartener is paired with a Sixth Grade "Big Buddy" to foster mentorship and connection within our community.
STRONG ACADEMICS IN A CARING ENVIRONMENT
Tailored Learning: A curriculum aligned with Common Core State Standards and Archdiocesan guidelines ensures your child receives a solid foundation.
Technology Integration: Programs like Starfall for reading and math, combined with SmartBoards and iPads, make learning engaging and interactive.
ENRICHMENT AND EXPLORATION
Weekly Enrichment Classes: Spanish, Art, Library, Technology, Physical Education, and Music are taught by extracurricular teachers.
Exciting Field Trips: Visits to a pumpkin patch, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, Moorpark College Teaching Zoo, and more bring learning to life and spark curiosity.
FULL-DAY KINDERGARTEN
Our program runs from 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., offering a full day of learning, discovery, and fun. Your child will build the academic, social, and spiritual foundation needed for a seamless transition to First Grade and beyond. (Children must be five years old by September 1 to enroll.)
