Seventh Grade students at Saint Paschal Baylon School (SPBS) continue to grow, mature and learn during this second year of Junior High at SPBS. SPBS Seventh Grade students are now able to participate in our school’s large variety of “A” level athletic teams through the Valley Catholic Sports League (VCSL), and they can finally purchase and wear our custom-designed SPBS Varsity Jackets -  a time-honored school tradition!

Our Seventh Grade curriculum is guided by the Common Core State Standards, and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Department of Catholic Schools' standards, which help ensure academic success for all our students both now and later in high school and beyond. The Seventh Grade Homeroom Teacher, who teaches Language Arts to the Junior High students, is very experienced and credentialed.

Within our 100% Catholic Junior High student body, faith formation is inculcated throughout all aspects of the Seventh Grade year, including: participation in weekly school wide Masses, liturgical events, student-led Stations of the Cross during Lent, prayer services, altar serving, annual Sacrament of Reconciliation, conflict resolution based on Gospel values, and the formal/academic study of our Catholic faith. Seventh Grade students participate in the SPBS Junior High Retreat Program, which is designed to reinforce class cohesiveness and help our students learn to make good choices.

SPBS believes in educating the "whole child", therefore our Seventh Graders participate in an extensive variety of SPBS Enrichment Classes: "Accelerated Reader" (Reading Renaissance)Spanish, Art, Music, Library, Computers/Technology, and Physical Education

During their Seventh Grade year at Saint Paschal Baylon School (SPBS), our students participate in an annual school wide service-learning project, the "Ryan’s Well" program. SPBS believes "...to whom much is given, much is expected". Therefore, to help build a sense of Stewardship in our students, Seventh Graders sort through recycled water bottles and aluminum cans each week, which are contributed by school families and parishioners. The sorted recycling items are then turned-in for cash, that our school donates to the "Ryan’s Well" organization to build clean drinking water wells in Africa. SPBS has funded the building of EIGHT wells in Africa to date, and is starting the process to earn the money to build our tenth Ryan's Well during the 2015-2016 academic year! Seventh Graders earn   Service Hours by working with the "Ryan's Well" project, and with many other school, parish and community-based service projects. These hours count toward the students' Seventh Grade Christian Service requirement.

SPBS Seventh Graders attend a live performance of Charles Dickens’ "A Christmas Carol" at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, which they in turn perform for our student body in December. The students also participate in the school's annual Christmas Concert and Spring Sing. Additionally, the Seventh Grade class visits The Getty Center in West Los Angeles each year, in support of our Art Appreciation and Social Studies programs.
