Jog-A-Thon

This is one of our school’s most important fund raisers and it’s a great way for parents to complete their profit dollar commitment - 90% of your child’s collected pledge money is applied!

Between mid-February and early March, our students obtain as many sponsors (individuals) who pledge a donation on either a per-lap basis or a flat donation amount. The donation can be collected at the time of the pledge or after the Jog-A-Thon.

Leading up to the Jog-a-thon, students are encouraged to participate in scheduled fun activities such as “Early Bird Pledge Day” when they turn in their pledges to date and qualify for things like bonus raffle tickets.

Our students will go out to our school’s sports field and show off their athletic ability by running, jogging, and walking as many laps as they comfortably can during the allotted time frame. Upon completing the Jog-A-Thon, students then go to their sponsors and collect any outstanding donations.

Students earn raffle tickets based on their collected donations. They will use these tickets to win prizes at our Prize Assembly.

In addition to the prize assembly, students who collect $150 or more in donations (or combined total of $250 for SPBS Families with 2 or more participating students) are invited to a culmination party!

This great event has something for everyone: Our students show off their athletic ability and have a lot of fun with the weekly pledge challenges. Our parents can earn volunteer service hours as well as earn profit dollars. Everybody wins! We hope you can be there to volunteer & cheer your children on.
