Student Government is alive and thriving at SPBS! Sixteen Student Council officers elected by the student body run events ranging from Spirit Days to Intramurals. These officers meet on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 a.m. in the school library to plan special events and prepare for the Wednesday morning school assemblies.
Each class has two Senators who represent their class at the monthly Senator Meetings. The Student Council runs the Bear Cave (student store), sponsors fund raisers such as the annual Halloween Car Wash and promotes “fun” raisers such as the Powder Puff Turkey Bowl.
Student Council also promotes national events such as Red
Ribbon Week and Veteran's Day and supports the numerous school
teams through cheer squads and pep rallies. The SPBS Student Council's
goal is to build school spirit and support while enabling students
to grow through leadership and stewardship. Go Bears!
