Student Government is alive and thriving at Saint Paschal Baylon School (SPBS)! Sixteen Student Council officers are elected each year by the student body in Grades 3-7, and they run events ranging from Spirit Days to Intramural Sports. Student Council officers meets with their Faculty Moderator, in order to plan special events and prepare for morning school assemblies. On the day that Student Council meets, and on other days as designated, SPBS Student Council officers wear special school-issued light blue logo polo shirts to school, in lieu of their regular  SPBS uniform logo shirts. This privilege identifies those students who have been elected to Student Council to the entire SPBS student body.

In addition, each class has two elected Senators, who represent their class at the monthly Class Senator Meetings. The SPBS Student Council members coordinate and staff the "Bear Cave" (student store), sponsor and run fund raisers such as monthly morning recess Food Sales and "Spirit Days". Student Council also promotes and coordinates “fun” raisers such as: the Powder Puff Turkey Bowl, Halloween Pumpkin Decorating Contest, Cake Walk during Catholic Schools Week, and the Football Toss contest.

Our SPBS Student Council also promotes national and liturgical events such as, Red Ribbon Week; and leading a decade of the Rosary each morning during October (the designated "Month of the Rosary"), for example. In addition, Student Council provides a Veterans Day Assembly for the school community, and supports our numerous school teams through pep rallies.

The SPBS Student Council's overall goal is to help build school spirit and support, while enabling students to grow through servant leadership and stewardship. Go Bears!
